Loom Design

Are you  the owner of a vehicle that has an existing wiring system installed that requires replacement? GRME will remove this existing system and use it to model a completely new loom for you.

If you have facilities for loom design and can provide detailed electrical and layout details then we will happily build the loom for you to these specifications.

Alternatively GRME can provide a complete measure, design and manufacture  service that is in keeping with your build schedule. This service requires access to the vehicle at various stages of build to ensure the correct fitment of the loom and allows us to react to design changes.

Installation

Once your loom has been manufactured then it has to be correctly fitted to the vehicle.

Again this can be carried out by yourselves if desired. Alternatively this can be carried out by GRME either at your workshop or at our premises depending upon our workload.
Installation of the completed looms will typically take only a few hours after which a complete functionality check will be carried out to ensure that the system is correctly configured to communicate with all the sensors and any third party equipments as required.

Build

GRME can cater to a number of scenarios when considering individual requirements. It may be that you have a historic car requiring an authentic looking loom or have a limited budget precluding the use of full Military specification wiring and connectors.

Regardless of the level of loom you require GRME will ensure that you have the best possible quality of wiring, connectors and build within your budget with focus on reliability.

Servicability

So you have a system you are happy with? Or do you?

All to often people contact us at the last possible moment complaining that their car will not start, the sensors do not read correctly or the system does not operate as advertised. It is safe to say that 99 times out of a hundred it is caused by wiring or sensors that are past their best. Motorsport is a very harsh environment and the levels of vibration present can cause damage such as fatigue of connections, broken wires and chafing that can lead to shorting of wires.

Bring your car to GRME or alternatively book an appointment and we will come to you to give your car a serviceability check. After checking out the looms we will give you the options for repair of any unserviceable parts and offer our advice on what you should do next to ensure trouble free operation.

Training

Are you the proud new owner of a car with a MoTeC system? Is it all confusing to you?

GRME will happily spend some time with you to show you how to get the best from your system. This can either be at the track or here at our premises.

It is also quite often the case that inherited systems do not come with everything you need, such as communication leads or interface cables,as previous owners tend to keep these. By bringing your vehicle to us,we can ensure you do not become frustrated by providing all you need.

MoTeC also provide regular seminars. Click here to find out more.
